Cupcakes (or buns as you may know them) are one of the easiest things to start with, both for baking and decorating.

Decorating your cupcakes

The simplest way to decorate is with some glace icing and sprinkles or sweets (especially if the children are ‘helping’)!

Sieve 125g Icing Sugar into a bowl. Gradually add warm water (approx. 15ml), a little at a time, until the mix is thick enough to coat the back of your spoon. Spread over your cupcakes to cover and then add decorations of your choice.

Or perhaps you want to try your hand at making models for cake decorations from sugar paste?

These super cute little teddy bears are perfect for children or first time sugar modellers to make – no specialist equipment required!
